The New York Sharks (0-1) opened a new season against an old foe, the Boston Militia (1-0) at Dilboy Stadium in Massachusetts. It was a surprisingly warm day for the month of April and a decent sized crowd was on hand.
The 56 point loss was the Sharks worst drubbing ever. The previous low-water mark was a 37 point loss to the same Boston team last year.
The Sharks road doesn’t get any easier as they will travel down I-95 to take on the D.C. Divas (0-1) in 2 weeks. The Divas played in a barn burner of a game against the Pittsburgh Passion (1-0) this weekend only to lose by 1 point. The Sharks were originally scheduled to travel to Portland next week to take on the Maine Lynx in Portland but that game was cancelled and New York was credited with a win.
