The New York Sharks evened their won-loss record at 2 and 2 after defeating the Baltimore Burn in an abbreviated game. The game was called in the third quarter after a rash of injuries to the Baltimore team left them with fewer than 11 players to take the field.

It was a warm and muggy night as the New York Sharks faced the Boston Militia in the second round of the playoffs. This was the third meeting between these two teams this year. The first two games did not go well for the Sharks but they were hoping that the third time was the charm. The game was being played in Massachusetts but this time in Burlington as the Militia were dispossessed from their usual home in Somerville.
Despite the loss, it was a good season for New York. The Sharks had made it back to the playoffs after a 2 year hiatus and last week’s victory over the Keystone Assault was their first playoff win since 2007.

The New York Sharks have advanced to the second round of the WFA playoffs. They head up to Boston next week and will take on the Boston Militia (8-0). This will be the third time that the Sharks have played the Militia and so far the Beaneaters have won the previous 2 outings. Hopefully the third time will be the charm. The game will be played in Burlington, Massachusetts and kick-off time is at 6pm (EDT).

Despite the Sharks loss, the second season has now begun for New York. Next week they will host the Keystone Assault in the first round of the playoffs. This is the first time New York has hosted a playoff game since 2006. The game will be held at the Aviator Sports Complex in Brooklyn. Kick-off time is at 4pm (EDT).
