Josie Smith-Malave played 2 seasons for the New York Sharks from 2001-2002.

Josie is originally from Miami, Florida where she worked as a caterer, the opening staff for the Hard Rock Café, and manager of The Bagel Factory.

She moved to New York City where she has continued to work in the food industry and enrolled in the Culinary Arts at The Institute of New York City. She represented the school in Las Vegas at the San Pellegrino Almost Famous Chef contest.

After graduation, she became the sous chef for Marlow and Sons in New York City and competed in Bravo's Top Chef program.
