Cheryl Stephney is an events coordinator for Verizon.

She has been playing football with and against serveral of her Shark teammates through the years, having started playing in the late 1980’s. “They are my friends as well as teammates, so it was a natural progression of things.”

” I would love to retire with a championship trophy in my hands, along with a paycheck! Then… I will have made it. A possible reunion with my teammates when I’m 90 and we are inducted in the Hall of Fame as football pioneers (a la the movie A League of Their Own ) would be the icing on that cake.”
